Know which houses need your trade, before your competitors do.
We read every building permit issued in Detroit, pick out the jobs that pay your trade, and send you the addresses on Monday morning.
A permit is a job that's approved but not yet hired
When a homeowner pulls a permit, the work is planned, approved and funded. Most of the trades that job needs have not been called yet.
A permit to replace a roof is a gutter job nobody has quoted. A new build is concrete, landscaping and excavation waiting to happen. A change of occupancy is an electrician's afternoon.
Those permits are public records. We read every one the day it is issued, look at what the work actually is, and send you only the ones that pay your trade.

How it works
Tell us your trade and area
Ten trades across Detroit, with the tri-county suburbs being added one city at a time.
We read every permit, nightly
Straight from the city's own published records — not scraped off a listing site weeks later.
Monday morning, your list arrives
Address, permit number, described work and the declared job value. Ready to call.
What it costs
- Every matching permit in your area, every week
- Your own private spreadsheet, kept up to date
- Full address, job value and described work on every lead
- Cancel any time — no contract, no notice period
Less than $1 a lead. One roofing job on this page was worth $9,500.

I run Permit Leads myself, here in metro Detroit. If you email, you get me — not a sales team.
Q&A
- Which areas do you cover?
- Detroit today. We're adding tri-county suburbs one at a time, because each has to be arranged with its building department individually. If your area isn't live yet, say so and we'll tell you honestly when it will be — we'd rather lose the sale than take money for an empty sheet.
- How fresh are the leads?
- Permits are collected every night. Most reach you within one to three days of being issued.
- Will you sell the same lead to my competitor?
- Possibly, if they subscribe to the same trade in the same area. We don't claim exclusivity, because we couldn't honour it. Ask about an exclusive area and we'll quote it properly.
- What do I actually receive?
- A private Google Sheet, one tab per week, with date, address, permit type, described work, declared job value and permit number. Sort it, filter it, print it, or hand it to whoever does your calling.
- Do I need to be technical?
- No. It's an email and a spreadsheet.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, and the first week is free regardless.
Where this data comes from
Building permits are public records. Detroit's come from the city's own official open-data service — the same records the city publishes for anyone to read.
For suburbs we ask each building department directly and they send us their permit report. Where a city's records sit behind a portal whose terms forbid automated access, we don't take them. We ask the city instead, or we don't cover that city yet.
That matters to you for one practical reason: a lead source built on records obtained properly doesn't disappear one morning because somebody got a legal letter.
